A pair of GMC basketball games came down to the wire on Friday.
It took four overtimes, but the Sycamore girls defeated rival Mason, 72-67, in four overtimes Friday night. Meanwhile, in other league action, Lakota West’s boys downed Middletown 61-59.
The Middies started slow — they were down at half 33-18 — and fell just short. West’s Julian Mackey had 31. Four Middletown scorers — Tywan Hall, Kelvin Shealey, Johrdon Mumford and Will Williams — scored ten or more.
