STRONGSVILLE, Ohio

Pop rage, Lunn Road: On July 15, a parent called police after their daughter accidentally cut off someone driving a GMC on Lunn Road.

The woman than parked her Buick into a Strongsville High School parking lot, where the GMC blocked her in. An arriving officer talked to the driver of the GMC, who said the Buick made an unsafe lane change, which caused him to slam on the brakes.

At that point, his two coolers packed with ice, ice water and pop slammed into the dashboard with pop exploding all over the interior of his vehicle.

He angrily attempted to knock on her window at an intersection, but she drove away.

The man admitted he was angry and didn’t handle the situation very well. He apologized to the woman, who was given a written warning about illegal lane changes.

Suspicious situation, Broxton Drive: On July 15, a Broxton Drive resident came home to find two pre-teen juveniles in their backyard.

When the kids saw the homeowner, they took off running towards Walmart. The caller asked the police to search the area for any kids breaking curfew.

The arriving officer was unable to find the juveniles.

Suspicious person, Albion Road: On July 15, an officer located a suspicious man standing in the middle of Albion.

He told the officer after leaving a friend’s party he was looking for his Uber driver. The officer gave the man a ride to the intersection of Pearl and Whitney roads, where he met the Uber driver.

Suspicious vehicle, Northview Drive: On July 15, a Northview Drive resident called police about a navy-blue sedan driving erratically in front of her home.

The sedan sat at a stop sign for a while before returning in front of her home. An arriving officer located the sedan. Its driver was actually a roofer looking for his job site.

Menacing, Meadow Trail: On July 15, a Meadow Trail resident came to the police station to report his ex-girlfriend came to his home and threatened to run him over.

This was not the first time she threatened violence. The man said he filed a harassing communication regarding a previous incident.

The officer talked to the ex-girlfriend, who was advised to cease all communication with the resident. The woman told the officer she would comply.
