Boys Basketball: This week's HNT/GMC Top 10 - My Central Jersey

1. St. Joseph (Met.) (15-6): St. Joseph had a five-game win streak snapped with a loss to South Brunswick on Saturday. The Falcons, who have all but locked up the Greater Middlesex Conference Red Division title, faced Perth Amboy on Monday night. St. Joseph has made a strong case to be the No. 1 seed in the GMC Tournament, which will be seeded Thursday morning. 

2. Linden (13-8): Linden lost two in a row to Elizabeth and Roselle Catholic last week, which snapped a five-game win streak, but bounced back with a win over Plainfield on Saturday. The Tigers will face Westfield on Tuesday in their last regular season game before the Union County Tournament starts.

3. St. Thomas Aquinas (19-4): St. Thomas Aquinas stretched its win streak to eight games with victories over Middlesex, South Plainfield and Rumson-Fair Haven last week. The Trojans have completed their regular-season schedule. 

4. Carteret (17-4): Carteret bounced back from a loss to St. Thomas Aquinas with wins over South River and North Brunswick last week. The Ramblers faced Snyder on Monday night in their last regular-season game. 

5. Edison (16-5): Edison extended its win streak to five games with wins over J.F. Kennedy, South Plainfield and Spotswood last week. The Eagles will close out their regular-season schedule on Saturday against East Brunswick. 

6. South Brunswick (15-4): South Brunswick bounced back from a loss to Perth Amboy with three Red Division wins last week against Piscataway, East Brunswick and St. Joseph (Met.). The Vikings will face Pennington on Tuesday before playing Dunellen next Monday. 

7. New Brunswick (14-4): New Brunswick went 1-2 last week, with a win over Sayreville and losses against the Patrick School and Colonia. The Zebras have three games left on the schedule, against Woodbridge on Tuesday, Perth Amboy on Thursday and Toms River North on Saturday.  

8. Colonia (16-4): Colonia stretched its win streak to four in a row with wins over Sayreville, J.F. Kennedy and New Brunswick last week. The Patriots have two regular-season games remaining, against North Brunswick on Tuesday and Snyder on Saturday. 

9. Rahway (14-3): Rahway had a five-game win streak snapped with a loss to Summit, but bounced back with a win over Oratory Prep last week. The Indians will face Perth Amboy Tech on Tuesday and Union on Thursday. 

10. Dunellen (18-2): Dunellen stretched its win streak to 11-straight games with wins over Timothy Christian, Piscataway Tech and South Amboy last week. The Destroyers played Spotswood on Monday and will face Calvary Christian on Wednesday.
