VIDEO: Carjacker takes Army Veteran's GMC Yukon - WXYZ Detroit

DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are searching for suspects in the carjacking of a black 2011 Yukon.

It happened around 1:45 a.m. on May 27, 2019 in the 9400 block of Woodward, near the New Center Area.

Police say an unknown man approached and pulled a weapon on the 36-year-old victim as he approached his vehicle. He demanded the keys, which the victim turned over.

The suspect then entered the SUV and drove away. No one was injured.

If anyone has any information about the carjacking, or the location of the black 2011 Yukon with Michigan plate DZE8049, they are asked to call DPD's Commercial Auto Theft unit at 313-596-2555 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 SPEAK UP.
