Player of the Year: Sean Kelliher, East Brunswick, Sr.
Consistency once again was the hallmark of Kelliher's game, whether sweeping across the crease to deliver a right-handed rocket, or sweeping low between the restraining lines for important ground balls.
Kelliher followed up a strong junior season in which he scored 49 goals by delivering 52 goals and assisting on 18 this season for the 12-7 Bears. Even in most of East Brunswick's disappointing outcomes, this middie did his part, like when Kelliher sank four goals in a 9-8 loss to St. Joseph (Met.) in the GMC Tournament semifinals. He netted four goals on five occasions this season and struck for three six times.
Kelliher, who will play at Marist, finished with 161 goals and 78 assists for 239 points.

Coach/Team of the Year: Joe Yannone, Monroe
Monroe did return this season with several key starters from a successful 2018 campaign, such as goalie Josh Estavillo, defensemen Isaac Hernandez and skilled attackmen Anthony Abreu and Mike Cavallo. But Yannone still had to replace several veteran defensemen (like standout Jordan Perry) and fill in some holes around the midfield that had been created through graduation.
Yannone has always had a knack for revving up his youngsters from JV level to varsity speed in the brief few weeks of preseason, and the 12th-year coach proved again he hasn't lost his touch. Even though four sophomores played fairly prominent roles this season, the Falcons turned in a 15-4 season that included a third straight GMC regular-season title and a second consecutive GMC Tournament crown.
Yannone threw this youngsters directly into a raging fire by scheduling perennial Top 20 residents Ridge and Chatham in the first week of the season. The Falcons lost both games by w wide margin, but were instantly steeled for what was to come in conference play.
Seniors Cavallo (31 goals, 37 assists), Abreu (41 and 24) and sophomores Matthew Dorian (31 and 11), Chris Pucciarelli (17 and 20) and Connor Gabilanes (14 and 19) paced the offense, junior Jamie Tepe and sophomore Zach Seppi handled the faceoff duties reliably, and Hernandez, Matthew Mekahail, Sean Sosnak and Brandon Eidlen anchored a defense that allowed only 4.2 goals per game, with the help, of course, of the talented Estavillo, who is just a junior.
