Jefferson Award Winner: Freddie Hyatt with Hyatt Buick GMC

"Freddie is all about relationships and community involvement," said Tom Raschiatore, General Manager at Hyatt Buick GMC.

Raschiatore says Freddie Hyatt, with Hyatt Buick GMC, is focused on giving back.

"His heart is so big. He gives from his heart, and that's the one thing from Freddie that made me nominate him for this award," said Raschiatore.

"We help different organizations, whether it be the Red Cross, reaching out. I always say it's 'neighbors helping neighbors,'" said Hyatt.

From being inducted as a member of the American Red Cross Humanitarian Circle Society, to hosting test drive fundraisers for a local high school, the dealership owner is proud to be a part of the Myrtle Beach community.

"Collin's Kids Foundation, from the 'Believe It' fundraiser, it's always the first Tuesday in December, this year we raised over $60,000," said Hyatt.

He also sponsors a number of golf tournaments and has supported the Surf Dreams Foundation over the years.

Hyatt makes a point to get his 100 plus employees involved as well.

"It warms your heart. You feel fortunate and then you see the less fortunate. And it just warms your heart just to be able to make an impact in the community," said Hyatt.

"He's a leader. He's a friend. It's a privilege to be his friend. It's a privilege to work for him," said Raschiatore.

"It does make you feel good," said Hyatt.
