Compact SUVs are among the most popular vehicles on the road today. That’s quite a change in public appeal from only 10 years ago when Compact SUV’s accounted for just 7.2 percent of the U.S. market.

The 2018 iteration of the Terrain Denali is about 3.5 inches shorter and about 350 pounds lighter than last year’s model. Despite that, it retains plenty of interior room, still accommodating five passengers comfortably and plenty of cargo. It is also more fuel-efficient than its predecessor, now getting 30 miles to the gallon.
