Vehicles Affected: Approximately 500 model-year 2020 Cadillac Escalade and Escalade ESV SUVs; Chevrolet Camaro coupes, Silverado 1500 pickup trucks, and Suburban and Tahoe SUVs; and GMC Sierra 1500 pickups, and Yukon and Yukon XL SUVs

The Problem: The fuel pump may be missing a pressure regulator, allowing for overpressurization of the fuel system, which can crack the fuel pump and cause leaks, increasing the risk of a fire in the presence of an ignition source.

The Fix: Dealers will replace the fuel pump for free.

What Owners Should Do: Cadillac, Chevrolet and GMC manufacturer GM will begin notifying owners Jan. 6, 2020. Owners can call Cadillac at 800-333-4223, Chevrolet at 800-222-1020, GMC at 888-988-7267, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit its website to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
