GMC's Warner Robins campus celebrates 30 years - wgxa.tv

WARNER ROBINS, GA – Georgia Military College's Warner Robins campus celebrated 30 years on Wednesday.

On this day in 1989, Georgia Military College expanded its reach in Central Georgia, adding an extension campus in Warner Robins.

"Now, 30 years later, the campus has become a staple in the Warner Robins community," GMC says. "Georgia Military College’s Warner Robins campus originally opened on Robins Air Force Base, before moving to its current location on Duke Avenue in 2003, adding onto that building in 2005 and 2011 to accommodate the campus’ growing enrollments. In 2003, GMCWarner Robins had approximately 300 students enrolled, and now that number has tripled with approximately 1,300-1,400 students during peak quarters."

GMC-Warner Robins Executive Director, Ted Ramsdell, has been a part of the campus’ story for 21 of the 30 years.

He started his career at GMC in 1998 as an adjunct history instructor. He says he’s enjoyed being a part of GMC’s growth.
