Woodbridge 11, Henry Hudson 1: Winning pitcher Jacob Kreusch went the route, striking out seven and scattering five hits in a game shortened to five innings via the mercy rule.

Mike Medvetz, who has hit safely in five games, remained torrid at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI.

Three-sport athlete Nick Nyers, the football program’s career record holder in tackles and a reigning conference tournament heavyweight champion wrestler, recorded his first varsity base hit, as did teammate Joseph Saez.

Woodbridge scored three runs in the home first to erase a 1-0 deficit. The Barrons tacked on six more runs in the second and invoked the mercy rule with two runs in the fifth.

Andrew Galvach, Joe Muccilli, Tom O’Halloran, Nyers and Saez each delivered an RBI.

Kreusch, who walked four batters, threw 82 pitches to help the Barrons (4-1) win their third straight.

Manville 10, Timothy Christian 0: The Tigers (0-2) were outhit 10-2 as they endured their second mercy-rule defeat.

Winning pitcher John Sharbaugh threw a complete-game shutout with seven strikeouts. Batterymate Blair Sauerhoefer wnet 3-for-3.
