Four East Brunswick Boys Soccer Players Named to 2019 All-GMC Team - TAPinto.net

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ -- Four members of the county-champion East Brunswick High School boys soccer team have been selected to the Greater Middlesex Conference 2019 All-GMC team.

Senior goalie Ryan McSwieney and junior swingman Seth Oppong-Dwamena of East Brunswick both were named to the overall All-GMC team as selected by the conference's coaches. Senior midfielder Zane Taha and senior swingman Srihari Sudhir were named, along with McSwieney and Oppong-Dwamena, to the All-Red Division team.

At one point during the season, the Bears shut out eight opponents in a nine-game span (and allowed a single goal in the other game), testament to McSwieney's work in the net and the defense of Oppong-Dwamena, who played on the back line but who could also shift forward when needed.

East Brunswick (13-5-3) prevailed in a penalty kick shootout against South Brunswick in the GMC Tournament championship game. Sudhir scored both of the Bears' goals in the final.
