Vote NOW for the Week 1 GMC football Game of the Week - NJ.com

The opening week of play for Greater Middlesex Conference teams saw South River rally in the final minute to edge Roselle in a cross-conference battle, No. 8 North Brunswick flex its muscles in a shutout win over South Brunswick, and No. 10 Sayreville bow to an up-and-coming Hunterdon Central squad in another crossover clash with the Mid-State 38.

And that was just for starters.

Teams settle into their GMC schedules in Week 1, and we have some outstanding battles on tap. NJ Advance Media has selected five to consider, but it will be completely up to you, the fans and out loyal reader, to determine which one is the GMC Game of the Week.

The choices are:

• Sayreville (0-1) at Piscataway (1-0)

• New Brunswick (1-0) at Edison (1-0)

• Woodbridge (1-0) at Colonia (0-1)

• South Brunswick (0-1) at Monroe (0-1)

• Middlesex (1-0) at St. Thomas Aquinas (0-1)

VOTING RULES

• Voting closes on Wednesday, Sept. 11, at noon.

• We know you take these polls seriously. We do, too. We encourage you to come back and vote often. Please note, the poll will view rapid-fire voting from any individual IP as an attack and will put that IP in a time out.
