NOPD: Deadly hit & run vehicle either GMC Yukon or Chevy Tahoe - WWL News, Talk, Sports Radio Station

New Orleans Police today say the have narrowed down the likely make and model of a vehicle in a fatal hit-and-run Sunday night on the edge of Treme.

Police believe the pedestrian killed at N. Claiborne and Esplanade avenues was hit by either a GMC Yukon or Chevy Tahoe, based on this photo provided by a bystander:

"The suspect vehicle initially stopped and was photographed by a bystander," said police. "The suspect vehicle then fled the scene."

Police say anyone who has information should call Detective Edgar Edwards of the NOPD Fatality Unit at (504) 658-6208, or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111 or toll free at (877) 903-7867 (STOP). Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward.
