Speciality Vehicle Engineering, the New Jersey-based tuner responsible for the new Yenko-branded Chevrolet Camaros and Corvettes, has debuted its next project – a new GMC Syclone based on the Canyon.
Powering SVE’s new GMC Syclone is a supercharged, 455 horsepower version of the Canyon’s 3.6-liter V6 . The tuner also has an available Sport Suspension Package, which lowers the front ride height by two-inches up front and five-inches in the rear and also adds thicker traction bars, new bushings, stiffer front and rear shocks and a rear sway bar.
Other options include a stainless steel cat back dual exhaust system, 20-inch five-spoke wheels with Syclone graphics and sticky front and rear performance tires. There are some standard exterior and cosmetic enhancements as well, such as a composite hood insert, body color rocker panels, Syclone door and tailgate badges, a body color front grille and grille bars and a painted rear bumper. Unlike the original Syclone, it will be available in all factory GMC Canyon colors and not just black.
The Canyon’s interior gets the performance treatment via Syclone embroidered seats, custom Syclone branded front floor mats and a numbered dash plaque. Each new GMC Syclone will also come with a numbered Manufacturer’s Certificate of Origin and Syclone branded key fobs.
SVE says it will build just 100 of these trucks, so if you want one, you may want to act quickly. It will cost you $39,995 on top of the price of the donor truck, which can be either a 2WD or 4WD Extended Cab Canyon. It will also be available to order via GMC dealers, or you can get in touch with SVE directly.
