Each week, NJ Advance Media shines a spotlight on each conference in New Jersey boys lacrosse, presenting Player of the Week, stats leaders in the key categories and other noteworthy items.
Here is the latest for the Greater Middlesex Conference.
PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Josh Estavillo, Monroe, Jr.
He turned away nine shots in goal last Tuesday to help the Falons defeat East Brunswick, 7-2, to clinch their third consecutive regular-season GMC crown. Estavillo was particularly tough in the second half as East Brunswick launched a strong comeback rally, but was rejected six times over those final two quarters. He made one save two days later as Monroe (8-3) claimed a fourth straight victory with a 14-1 decision over Edison.
