8. WOODBRIDGE (5-5): Chance Modica totaled 307 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns in a 54-19 regional crossover win over Orange.
9. SOUTH PLAINFIELD (5-4): Sammy Nieves amassed 163 yards from scrimmage and scored two touchdowns as the Tigers posted the state’s biggest upset in the opening round of the NJSIAA playoffs with a 17-16 North 2 Group III victory over previously undefeated West Essex, which had an 18-game winning streak snapped.
