1. Piscataway (4-0): Juwon Jackson rushed for 114 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries, while Lord Jones caught a 63-yard touchdown pass and returned a fumble 33 yards for a score as the Chiefs posted their third shutout of the season with a 34-0 blanking of Old Bridge. Next: at Perth Amboy, Friday, 7 p.m.

2. Sayreville (4-0): Zuriel Wright carried eight times for 177 yards and four touchdowns, while quarterback Mark Whitford completed 6 of 9 passes for 113 yards and rushed five times for 106 yards in a 38-0 victory over Monroe. Next: at Edison, Friday, 7 p.m.

3. South Brunswick (3-2): The Vikings, who could not overcome 10 penalties for 110 yards, dropped a 27-14 decision to Union in which Gabe Katzenell-Hall threw a 70-yard touchdown pass and Ezequeil Johnson scored on a 1-yard run. Next: at East Brunswick, Friday, 7 p.m.

4. North Brunswick (4-1): Christian Petrillo completed 8 of 16 passes for 127 yards and two scores and rushed 17 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-7 win over Woodbridge. Next: at New Brunswick, Friday, 7 p.m.

5. St. Joseph (4-1): Cardinal rolled up 137 yards from scrimmage and had a hand in three touchdowns as the Falcons snapped three-time defending sectional champion Westfield’s home winning streak at 21 games in a 27-18 victory. Next: vs. Immaculata, Saturday, 1 p.m.

6. Edison (3-1): The backfield tandem of Armani Bell and Tylor Montford combined for 276 yards, while signal caller Lucas Loffredo, who split time with senior Dean Escobar, completed 7 of 14 passes for 198 yards and two touchdowns in a 39-14 victory over Edison. Next: vs. Sayreville, Friday, 7 p.m.

7. Colonia (3-2): Justice Harris massed 246 all-purpose yards, rushing 12 times for 163 yards and four scores and returning a kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown in a 46-8 rout of Carteret. Next: at Summit, Saturday, 2:30 p.m.

8. South Plainfield (2-2): Ashwin DeGroot carried six times for 175 yards and two scores, made five tackles and converted three PATs in a 29-6 victory over J.F. Kennedy. Next: at North Hunterdon, Friday, 7 p.m.

9. Old Bridge (1-3): The Knights have losses to three-time defending sectional champion Westfield, reigning Central Group V champion South Brunswick and state-ranked Piscataway. Old Bridge defeated Perth Amboy 21-14 and lost by a closer margin to South Brunswick than did the Panthers.  

10. Dunellen (4-1): Jacob Sanders carried 22 times for 133 yards and three scores and also threw a 34-yard halfback option touchdown pass in a 34-21 win over South River. Next: vs. Butler, Friday, 7 p.m.
