GMC has launched upgraded versions of the 2018 Acadia in the Middle East, with the All-Terrain trim now available on both the SLE and SLT models of the premium crossover.
Aimed at the midsize SUV segment, the 2018 Acadia hosts up to three rows of seating on most models, while the All-Terrain models feature an advanced all-wheel drive (AWD) system with active twin clutch, which optimises traction for all conditions.
The 2018 GMC Acadia is equipped with a 3.6L V-6 engine, which is SAE-certified at 310 horsepower; and has an improved fuel consumption level of 11.2 L/100km on the combined cycle for the front-wheel drive models and 11.7 L/100km for all wheel drive.
The 2018 Acadia’s V6 engine features direct injection, variable valve timing as well as cylinder deactivation, and pairs with a six-speed automatic transmission and an electronically controlled drive mode selector.
The 2018 Acadia includes new features such as the Rear Seat Alert to remind the driver when an item may have been left in the rear seats and a tire fill alert, a system that provides audible alerts when inflating a tire (standard on all modes). Other features include Smart Slide feature that offers a split-folding second-row seat.
All 2018 Acadia models feature a drive mode selector, which allows the driver to alter chassis and powertrain attributes to suit various driving conditions. Meanwhile, the All-Terrain trim has a specific Offroad mode on the drive mode selector, which works with the model’s exclusive AWD system to offer enhanced hill-climb capability.
