DANVILLE — Not everyone was thrilled with the appearance of Hillary Clinton on the Geisinger campus.

Robert C. Bolus Sr., a Scranton area entrepreneur, parked a semi-trailer lettered with anti-Clinton sentiments across from the Pine Barn Inn. The trailer, on Bloom Street, also displayed awkward photos of the former first lady and Bill Clinton, the 42nd U.S. president.

The messages recalled suspicions that Hillary Clinton emails were illegally destroyed and other allegations after an attack on the U.S. Embassy in Benghazi, Libya. Additional lettering on the sides and back of the trailer supported the current president and vice-president.

“It’s a message to Hillary that… she should be in jail,” Bolus said. “This is our state. She should stay the hell out of it.”

Bolus and several family members were accused of numerous felony counts of insurance fraud in 2014. Allegations included that family members were covered by insurance held by Bolus-owned companies when they were not truly employees.

Bolus also claimed Geisinger Health Plan released family medical information during the proceedings in violation of HIPPA privacy laws. The charges against Bolus were dismissed in late 2016.

“For (Geisinger) to participate with (Clinton) is just only ‘birds of a feather, flock together,’” Bolus said. “We are sending a message.”

Bolus predicted parties involved would be held accountable.
