Bishop Ahr, No. 3 in the NJ.com Top 10, continued its dominance at the Greater Middlesex Conference tournament, totaling 111.875 points to capture its third-straight GMC championship on Friday.
Old Bridge finished second with 104.850 points, while South Plainfield followed suit in third with 104.775 points.
Earning top honors at the GMCs was Bishop Ahr junior Ariyana Agarwala, who captured the all-around title for the third straight year, totaling 38.350 points. Agarwala finished first in three events: Floor (9.525), uneven bars (9.75), and vault (9.8).
Also contributing in the GMC title for Bishop Ahr was Upasna Parikh, who earned third all-around (35.800). Upasna had a fourth place finish on beam (9.2), and a fifth place finish on uneven bars (8.725). Kaitlyn Adlassnig finished sixth all-around (34.95), with a second place finish on uneven bars (9.425). Skylar Davisson had a third place finish on uneven bars (9.15), while Ty Upton had a fifth place finish on vault (9.35), and a fourth place finish on floor (9.25). Sarah Adlassnig had a fifth place finish on beam (9.075), while Naomi Southerland had a seventh place finish on vault (9.1).
Junior Jennifer Pasram finished second all-around (37.125), to help Old Bridge to its second place finish (104.850), which was a season record for the team. Pasram’s performances included a first place finish on beam (9.375), a third place finish on vault (9.45), a fourth place finish on uneven bars (9.1), and a sixth place finish on floor (9.2).
Other contributors for Old Bridge included Julia Tuso, who finished 15th all-around (32.5), and Gabby Cuce, who earned sixth place on uneven bars (8.6).
